Intercooler 360 might be the latest weapon against the temperature problems Microsoft’s Xbox 360 often has. Even if Microsoft has managed to practically get it in under control there are still many who are feelling insecure about its video game console’s life and wellbeing due to the temperatures the powerful hardware generate. An alternative could be modifying the console with more efficient cooling, but that is both hard to do and will void the warranty. The manufacturer Nyko has therefore launched Intercooler 360; a device that is simply attached to the rear of the Xbox 360 console and despite its simple construction is suppose to lower the temperature with up to 10ºC.
Intercooler 360 is powered by the consoles own power supply and is shut off and turned on with the console. A very convenient system costing $20 that could be a cheap insurance for your video game. Alas, to us Europeans, it is only available in the USA at the moment.
