David Kirk of nVidia has been interviewed by teh good people at Bit-tech.net and he tells us of nVidia’s own thoughts on G70, which is the arcitecture of its new flagship, the 7800-series. They also discuss nVidia’s circuit that is going to be used in the Sony Playstation 3 that goes by teh name RSX. He doesn admit that it is infact “just” a tuned version of the G70-arcitecture but will offer better performance than today’s model does. They discuss the future of gamedevelopment, focusing on the hardware, among others support for Shader Model 3. You can also read about what nVidia thinks about using a unified-arcitecture for graphic cards, but to summarize there is a lot of information to gather from this interview.
