HP has been going growing and gaining market shares rapidly the last six months, for example it passed Dell as the world’s largest PC builder. To make sure HP stays at the top it has presented a couple of ideas where one of them is move on from IT – Information Technology, and instead focus on BT – Business Technology. The reason for this is that technology is no longer the main sources of information, but it’s the technology that powers the businesses and has become such an intricate part of the industry that HP has chosen to change its fundamental strategy.

According to a survey made by HP a majority (up to 99% of all CEOs) that technology is crucial to the success of a company, while only a third consider their CIOs as essential to the company.

HP has announced a number of new solutions that focuses on Business Intelligence and Information Lifecycle Management. More information about HP’s new services and development can be found at HP.com/go/HPBIORelease.

“Every day, First American uses technology to be more competitive,” said Evan Jafa, chief technology officer, The First American Corporation. “Because of the visibility that HP Software products give us into our IT and business processes, we no longer have blame-storming sessions. Instead, we have very direct visibility into areas where problems might be, and we very quickly go after them. HP Business Technology Optimization solutions have enabled us to shorten the cycles of key ITIL processes such as incident management, problem resolution and release management.”
