We have at several occasions reported about the struggle between Apple and several big record companies regarding iTunes Music Stores prices. The record industry wants more variable prices than today’s “99 cent for any song” as hit singles could be more expensive while older songs could be cheaper. Apple has opposed this and Steve Jobs has called the record cmpanies greedy, which of course resulted in a lot of sympathy from the people. The last we heard about the negotiations between Apple and the music industry was that Apple was about to give in to the pressure and introduce a new price system. Now New York Post has posted information that says that the record companies hasn’t managed to sway Jobs and that iTunes will continue with its current prices. Source: NY Post
