J. Allard is mainly known for being the man behind Microsoft’s own video games consoles Xbox and Xbox 360. As Corporate Vice President, Design and Development, Entertainment and Devices Division, he has been in charge for far more projects though and the last was none other than Zune, which was launched earlier this month. BusinessWeek has now published an article where they take a closer look at Zune and above all Allard’s role before the launch of this. They ponder about how Microsoft has been developing lately and where it might be heading considering Microsoft’s growing interest for hardware and home entertainment, not the least to mention Allard’s role.
