After two days of “regular” benchmarking for our GeForce 7900 GTX preview Kinc has now returned to his more extreme role as an overclocker and the victim is no one less than NVIDIA’s new flagship and this time he is using just regular air cooling. With a completely air cooled system, from processor to video cards, the final score achieved was 43377 with 3Dmark03. That’s third place overall, no matter what cooling and can even measure up to systems cooled with liquid nitrogen running GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB cards and similar. A very impressive score that promises for some even more impressive results with future tests where the more extreme cooling comes out. More information and pictures can be found below. Specifications: Below you can find some pictures of the system that managed to score 17210 with 3Dmark05, a new record for air cooled NVIDIA systems. More information about the overclocking, even more extreme such and voltmods will be published soon here at NH!
