Kinc, known as Marcus Hultin to his friends, is without a doubt Sweden’s foremost overclocker. After his second place in the Swedish Performance Championship 2004 Kinc has continued to show off the capabilities of his system in the 3Dmark-category where he earlier set a new world record with 3Dmark2001. Kinc has continued to work for better performance and the new record with 3Dmark2001 was just a small step on the way. Kinc has now namely set three new world records, one in each 3Dmark category. This is something, as far as we know, only one man has done before: the American overclocker OPPainter, but now we have a Swede at the top of all the 3DMark-charts.
The three new world records are as follows;
:: 3Dmark2001 – 50054 points
:: 3Dmark03 – 39973 points
:: 3Dmark05 – 17455 points
Impressive, no doubt about it, and Kinc is the first to reach 50000 points with 3Dmark2001 while he is incredibly close to 40000 points with 3Dmark03. The key is liquid nitrogen (LN2) and knowledge about how to handle the rumoured “cold bug”. This has made it possible for Kinc to push his Athlon 64 FX-57 processor to the amazing 3.88GHz, 3Dmark-stable! The complete specifications for Kinc’s monster system can be found below;
:: FX-57 @ 3883MHz Mousepot+LN2 cooling
:: 2×512 Corsair XMS3200LL BH-5
:: 2x Gigabyte 7800GTX 676/1584MHz cooled with dry ice
:: DFI NF4 SLI-D
So far only the 3Dmark03 and 3Dmark05 results are available online at Futuremark’s ORB. More than 50000 points with 3Dmark2001 was apparently not expected. But below you will find some exclusive pictures taken by Kinc, both his system and the results.
