Yesterday we told you of our precious Intel Core 2 QX6850 that was fully 3DMark stable at close to 5.4 GHz. Even though Kinc should be packing for his trip to Taiwan he couldn’t help feeling the urge to try it once more and this time use some higher graphics card frequencies. Bumping up the frequency on the processor even higher, to 5409 MHz and when flashing the ASUS Radeon HD 2900 XTs to 1,000 MHz core frequency and 980 MHz memory frequency he not only broke 35,000 but also went far beyond it. He managed to reach 35,368 points in 3DMark 05.
This is a world record by 400 points, as MickeyMouse also improved his previous score to 34,902 points. We have to give some credit to Corsair’s new DDR3 Dominator modules though. They have been working exceptionally well (900 MHz, 7-6-6-15 1T TRFC=40) with the ASUS Blitz Extreme during the benching.
