Kinc and Crotale are, as you read this, trying to reach new heights with ATI’s new flagship Radeon X1900 XTX. We recently published the first part of article series “Radeon X1900 XTX: Projevt World Record” where we focused on single card tests. Already then we could reveal that the next step would be trying out a Crossfire setup with two X1900 cards. Now that the kit has arrived Kinc has been doing some preliminary tests with liquid nitrogen. For being the first benchmarking session the results are looking very promising with 18 337 points with 3Dmark05 and 11314 points with 3Dmark06. As feared the motherboard with the RD480 chipset by ATI is a real bottleneck, but there is still more to get, while RD580 is just around the corner.
