Kingpin is one of the currently most active and respected overclockers we have and considering his love for NVIDIA graphics cards, it comes as no surprise that the has now been able to achieve a real milestone with the new flagship GeForce 8800 Ultra. Yesterday we reported about how Kingpin was almost ridiculously close to setting a real dream score, 100,000 points, in 3DMark03. As we expected, it was just a matter of time before Kingpin would break 100,000, which he now has using two GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics cards and an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor.
The only major change since yesterday was that the processor was overlocked a bit further; 5.2GHz, whereas yeasterday’s result was at 5.04GHz. The graphcs cards were working at 985MHz GPU and 2486MHz memory when Kingpin managed to reach 100,089 3DMarks. Despite the impressive score there is room for more according to Kingpin. 3DMark03 has seen its first six-figure score, will 3DMark05 be next?
