Back at Computex Kingston displayed a new external storage unit based on SSD technology. HyperX USB 3.0 SSD had specified read and write speeds at 195 MB/s and 160 MB/s, but it seems the launch in August is slipping.
New information suggests a launch in September and then with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacity. The SSD controller was not revealed, but performance hints of a decent one. Prices were not revealed.
SuperSpeed USB 3.0 will most likely be paired with SSD technology all the more often in 2010 and we look forward to seeing more of these external and really fast storage solutions.
