Kingston dominates DRAM market

0

Kingston is a big manufacturer of memory products and among DRAM makers it is quite the dominator. The company controls 40.3% of the total third-party market according to a fresh survey.

Kingston sold memory modules worth 2.85 billion dollar in 2009, which equals a share of 40.3%. A-DATA is second with sales worth 524 million dollar, which is just 7.4% of the market.

Kingston says that it’s thanks to its flexible company structure it is able to follow and quickly adjust to market changes. This will especially pay off during the low seasons when the sales are not as hot.

Included in Kingston’s DRAM assortment we see system-specific memories, ValueRAM stock memories and HyperX high-end modules.

If you add Kingston’s sales of memory cards, USB memory sticks and Solid State Drives, the revenue for 2009 reached 4.1 billion dollar. The second highest in the history of the company.
