Memory maker Kingston has expanded its assortment of SSDs with the new series SSDNow V+ 180. With a minimalistic 1.8″ format and good performance Kingston’s latest SSD is aimed for ultraportables, including netbooks and ultrathin models.

Kingston specifies the new SSDNow V+ 180 series to 230 MB/s read speed and 180 MB/s write speed, with TRIM support and micro SATA 3.0 Gbps interface. The SSD controller is unknown, but the equivalent 2.5″ models of the SSDNow V+ series uses components from Toshiba, strengthened by the matching specifications.

With MLC NAND flash memory Kingston comes in capacities of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
