Koolance is well known for its broad assortment of water cooling products but just a few weeks ago it launched a rather surprising product, Koolance VID-LN2-V2 Liquid Nitrogen Evaporator V2. A pot used to cool circuits with exotic and often liquid cooling media, for example liquid nitrogen or dry ice. These are usually made by overclockers and then sold within the community. With limited manufacturing volumes and a close to nonexistent market the prices have been rather high.
Koolance seems to have decided to make these kind of pots more easily accessible since it has also launched a CPU pot for liquid nitrogen. Koolance CPU-LN2 Liquid Nitrogen Evaporator is made from nickel-plated copper and ships with mounting brackets for all current processor platforms. The cooling pots weighs 1.58kg and costs €110.90.
Even if Koolance CPU pot may not reach up to the better known pots of the overclocking community it may still offer good performance considering the highly attractive price of the product.
Hopefully Koolance will continue its work with LN2 pots, making exotic cooling more easily accessible to those who are curious to learn. Working with sub-zero temperatures is dangerous and requires careful preparations though, make sure to read up and have someone with experience around if you do attempt this.
