Water cooling manufacturer Koolance has been working on a water block for AMD’s Radeon HD 5970 graphics card for some time. With dual Cypress GPUs each sporting 2.15 billion transistors they emit a lot of heat. At the same time, Radeon HD 5970 is one humongous card and now that the first pictures of Koolance VID-AR597 water block has appeared it is quite clear with its message.
AMD’s graphics card is huge and Koolance’s water block is just as impressive in its size, and not the least its finish. The entire water block is made from nickel-plated copper with an acrylic top to keep temperatures down, but not just the graphics circuits but also other heat emitting components.
Koolance VID-AR597 will launch December 4th and cost around 130 euro.
