Rumors have been going around that Google is working on a mobile phone of its own and even if these rumors haven’t been completely dismissed it seems that there are plans for the mobile phone market. LG has namely announced that it will preinstall Google services with millions of its mobile phones in both North America and Europe. The Google-ready phones are expected to appear during the second quarter of 2007 and this may very well be what the rumors were really about. On the other hand, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t any phone plans for the future at Google. LG’s mobile phones will offer the following Google services;

– Google Maps™ for mobile, an application that enables users to view maps and satellite imagery, find local businesses, and get driving directions
– Gmail™ for mobile, a Java-based application that brings more speed, convenience and functionality to the mobile Gmail experience
– Blogger™ Mobile, an application to upload/download images and text to blog from mobile devices (www.blogger.com), keeps avid bloggers upwardly mobile.

The cooperating between Google and LG is said to be a long one and we’re looking forward to seeing the first Google-ready phones on the market.
