The energy efficient processor platform called Intel CULV continues to receive compliments from the market. Next up is LG, launching a new 11.6″ netbook under the name T280 using earlier said platform. It will be divided into two models containing either an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CPU at 1.3GHz or an Intel Pentium SU4100, also at 1.3GHz. Both models will be equipped with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, an Intel GMA X4500 will be handling the graphics and as for storage, the faster model will have a 500GB drive and the second a 320GB drive.
LG has put a lot of effort into designing the T280. When seen in profile, its height varies between 16.7mm and 31.5mm and it has a weight of no more than 1.39kg. Also, the 11.6″ screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
Other functions worth mentioning is the 802.11n WiFi and the 6 cell battery. Pricing is estimated to be in the lines of $1100.
