Linux 2.6.20 is an anticipated kernel which brings a lot of interesting updates. Among others, there is now an implemented support for KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine), which means full hardware support for Intel and AMD’s virtualization technologies, but also support for paratechnologies used by other manufacturers. A new fault injected debugging technology, better I/O handling, a lockfree radix filetree and a lot more. The new kernel and more detailed change notes can be found at Kernel.org.
