Lately, Logitech has done a lot of work to improve its stereo speakers, designed for PCs. The latest product to spawn from this is the Logitech Z-5, which does have a kind of surround technology through its omnidirectional acoustics. The basic idea is to hear the same sound wherever you may be. The speakers use the USB interface, not just to transfer the sound but also power. In other words, you don’t need an external power adapter.
To further emphasize that the sound will be audible from every part of the room, the speakers come with a remote for control when you’re not sitting in front of the computer. The speakers are expected to make their way into stores in September and cost $99.99
