Mac mini seemed to be the optimal choice for a HTPC user when Apple launched its smallest computer so far. But except for its size and clean design there were several limitations making the system less than ideal to act as a Media Center in the consumers’ living room. Now it seems though as Apple has decided to change this with a new version of Mac mini. The new model will according to new information be developed under the name Kaleidoscope and will use an Intel processor and include both Front Row 2.0 and DVR features (Digital Video Recorder). The new model will also carry an iPod docking station which many lacked with the previous model. Think Secret has posted information that seems to point to that the new Mac mini will be launched during the MacWorld Expo in San Francisco early next year. Source: Think Secret
