Overclocker profile Henry “ME4ME” de Kruijf did some overclocking before the camera earlier on and in the camera focus was a rather irregular overclocking platform. A new test system with the mini-ITX motherboard Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 was used to overclocked Core i5 661 to 6.25 GHz.
Intel’s Core i5 661 CPU was found below the sizeable LN2 pot and along with two DDR3 memory modules it got a bit crowded on 17x17cm. Despite the physical limitations, which brings a less capable 4-phase power supply Henry managed to push his processor nearly 3 GHz over the stock frequency.
Proof that size doesn’t really matter, and a shared first place in Hwbot.org’s mini-ITX competition.
