Microsoft will according to information posted by pc world visit a hacker conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, later this year and it is not to preach about security and moral. It has namely decided to display Windows Vista’s security system for hackers at the “Hack In The Box” event. Two Microsoft employees will be speaking at the conference and present Microsoft’s work with security and also try to start a discussion about technologies suggested by hackers. Even if this may sound a bit risky it is completely in line with Microsoft’s idea of finding any bugs as soon as possible and preferrably before the new operating system is launched. It hopes to get feedback on its security system from the hackers and this may very well be a good solution, but the question is if it may have a counter-effect?
