Microsoft has today released its new and renowned operating system Windows Vista to the public. Except from Vista it has also launched its new office package Office 2007 all around the globe. We have for along time been reporting about Windows Vista and its new functionality, but there is still much to discuss and we at NordicHardware will continue to cover Microsoft’s new operating system with both news and articles on the subject.

Windows Vista is launched as a number of different versions ranging from the base version, Vista Home Basic costing ~$199, up to the fully featured Vista Ultimate version costing ~$399. OEM versions costs considerably less though, just as with Windows XP.

“These are the most amazing versions of Windows and Office ever,/…/“The visual effects are spectacular; the navigation is streamlined and intuitive. They make it much easier to protect your PC, yourself and your children online. And they work together to help you accomplish more throughout the day.” – Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft

We will take a closer look at Windows Vista the coming period and don’t hesitate to share your experiences of Vista. There have already appeared a number of articles and reviews of Vista and we recommend you to read more than one, or even a few, as the final judgments varies a lot, simple as it usually comes down to a matter of personal taste. Both HardOCP and Bit-Tech have published articles about Microsoft’s new operating system.
