Microsoft Media Player 11 will be a big update

Windows Media Player 11 (MWP 11) is the next version of Microsoft’s MWP and was earlier though to be a rather small update from today’s version. Well now the plans ave changed since Microsoft has according to rumours thrown away the project name Aurora and start over witha mediaplayer known as Polaris. This new version is expected to be Longhorn’s media player but for Windows XP. This means however that WMP 11 won’t be released in November as earlier announced, but there will be a beta-version available at the time and the final version should arrive at the beginning of 2006.
