Microsoft has chosen, in difference from Nintendo and Sony, to present a few more interesting things and even rather specific launch dates for these. A series of accessories, but also a lot of interesting information about Xbox Live. 60% of all Xbox 360’s are connected to Xbox Live (Xbox was below 10%) and Xbox Live has about 6 million users today. 80% of all users visit the market place and have spent a total of $12.5 million there. The big news was of course the improved integration of the market place into games, with the possibility to get a preview of the things you buy.
Xbox Live Vision Camera was presented and the only thing new, see our previous report, was a launch date: September 19 in the USA and two weeks later in Europe and Asia.
Microsoft will offer a Xbox Live Video Chat Gold Kit that contains a camera, a 12 months subscription, headset, 3x Arcade games and 200 Microsoft points at $79.99/€89.99.
Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel is just what it sounds like: a wireless steering wheel with support for force feedback. The first buyers will also receive a special version of Project Gotham Racing 3 sporting Force Feedback. It’s expected to arrive in November costing $149.99.
Xbox 360 Wireless Headset is also just what it sounds like and it will cost $59.99 when it arrives in November as well. Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver is an adaptor you connect to your PC and can then use your accessories with your PC. $19.99 will be the price when it arrives in December. And we shall not forget about the three new facplages at $19.99 each.
