Microsoft is the company you relate closest to computers and at the same time Internet, something that many consider a given part of a computer today. Microsoft has of course been developing the use of the Internet all these years, but now it seems that it will take another big step forward. We’ve already seen how they brought the Live!-service to the Xbox, which added a lot of value to the console and with Xbox 360 Live this will be even further extended. Now Microsoft has announced Microsoft Live and Office Live as well.

Windows Live is a place where you can go with any Windows-capable unit and at Microsoft Live everything from support, product news and services be gathered. Together with a new version of Microsoft’s Messenger service you will gain access to such features as VoIP telephony and similar.

Office Live is geared towards smaller companies and will be especially attractive for those who are working a lot with long distances. Here you can share address books, files and similar between several computers where the files are updated online automatically. Microsoft has in other words big plans fothe Internet and at Designtechnica they’ve published a news article about what to expect.
