Mini-ITX with USB-flashmemory harddrive

Mini-ITX is a very interesting platform for those who are looking for a platform with low power consumption and no noise. At XYZ Computing this was the closing arguement when it was about to construct a computer for the living room which would be used for simpler tasks such as surfing the web and listening to music. The level of noise was a high priority thus they chose to use neither a regular harddrive nor a CD-ROM, but all storage is handled by a flashmemory through a USB-port. It has now published an article that shows how they chose and assembled its hardware but also how it was configured with a USB-memory as a harddrive. And of course they are running Linux on it.
