Mod and upgrade your X-Fi

Creative X-Fi was total update of the SoundBlaster series. A whole new circuit which offered a bunch of new technologies for improving the sound quality. Creative equipped all of its cards with good quality DACs, but the problem is that a chain isn’t any stronger than its weakest link and Creative has been harshly criticized for using low quality opamps and transistors. This has led to that the signal quality is still a disappointment. At OCWorkbench they’ve published a short article where they show you how to improve the signal quality by simply upgrading the opamps. The results is suppose to be a noticeable improvement according to the author.
