Alienware has unveiled a quite extraordinary monitor at CES, using DLP technology to create a complete gaming experience by covering the entire peripheral vision of the gamer. Some more details regarding its monitor concept has now been published. Among others, Alienware has solid plans to launch the monitor in the second half of 2008, and that the model on display will be tuned quite a bit before the launch. The four LED-backlit DLP projects used to create the wide picture, will be optimized to create a seamless pictures without any visible interruptions or lines.



You will need a lot of image processing power to make the monitor work correctly, but it doesn’t seem to take much work to get the games to work with the monitor. When asked about the price, the Alienware representative replied that it will more expensive than a 17″ panel, but slightly less than a Kia…
