There have been passing rumours for a long time now about Motorola and its development of a multimedia mobile that will use Apple’s iTunes-system. Now new information has arrived and even been caught on camera. The mobile goes by the name Motorola E790 and will according to Mobilegazette be based on the same hardware as Motorola E398 and C698p. Which means that E790 will support Bluetooth, an LCD-display at 176×220 pixlar, VGA camera and support for memory cards (microSD/TransFlash) up to 1GB. “Add to that an email client, web browser, Java support and the usual features, plus the E398’s stereo speakers and you get a handset that’s a capable music phone, but really nothing special.” Motorola E790 doesn’t seem very impressive considering these rumours and now it seems to an everyday phone that has had an software upgrade capable of using Apple’s iTunes-system. We surely hope that Motorola tunes its iTunes-mobile further until the launch. Further information and images at Motorola E790 can be found at Mobile Gazette.
