Mozilla is one of Microsoft’s many competitors and has through its browser Firefox done what many considered near impossible, steal a large portion of the browser market. The last year Mozilla went from being a nonprofit organization to be a being a branch under Mozilla Corp. Now this company has managed to make a real nice catch when hiring Window Snyder (nice name for a Windows developer) which has worked with the security of both Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003.

Snyder will lead the development of security functions in Firefox and through his experience she is pressumed to add quite a lot to Mozilla’s organization. If nothing else, this is nice publicity for Mozilla as bagging one of Microsoft’s most established security experts comes with a certain is certainly impressive.

“She is also credited with seeding the idea for Microsoft’s internal “Blue Hat” security briefings, in which the crème de la crème of the hacking community is invited to the company’s Redmond, Wash., headquarters to discuss security with employees.”
