Firefox is closing up on version 2.0 and in the spirit of the occasion Newsforge has published an interview with Mozilla’s VP Mike Schroepfer where they not only discuss version 2.0 and what it will present to us but also share a little about 3.0. Right now the first of the two is the most interesting since it is the one that will battle Microsoft’s coming Internet Explorer 7. One of the great drawbacks with Firefox, according to your’s truly at least, is that Javascript doesn’t work satisfactory at all times, but that is hopefully a thing of the past with Firefox 2.0 and its support for Javascript 1.7. The next Beta will appear later this month and we should then get an even better look at what the final version will look when it arrives at the end of the year.
