MSI is expanding its family of notebooks with a new Centrino 2-based model, PR201. It comes with plenty of features and the heart of the system is Intel’s GM45 chipset together with a Core 2 Duo P8400 processor. In spite of the small format, MSI has managed to fit it with an optical drive, HDMI output, GbE, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth and much more. MSI has informed us that the notebook ships with a 4-cell battery as standard, but there is an optional 8-cell battery. It weighs only 1.8kg and retails for around €1,000.

The MSI PR201 is fabricated with a magnesium aluminium alloy casing in the colors black and silver. The notebook weights only 1.8kg including battery, and features elegant lines. The MSI PR201 is designed with the new MSI notebook logo.
