MSI has during CES presented three laptops based on AMD/ATI’s and NVIDIA’s latest chipsets. What makes these extra interesting is that both manufacturers’ use integrated graphics circuits which sport DirectX 10. MSI ER710 MS-171B and GX710 use AMD/ATI’s X2600 GPU, while MSI GX700 is based on the NVIDIA NB8P graphics circuit. Both of these graphics circuits are expected to bring support for DirectX 10 and if they are already available in demo computers a launch soon seems possible. The use of DirectX 10 will certainly get moving as Microsoft launches Windows Vista, even if there will hardly be that many games supporting it to begin with.
