MSI har precis som ASUS lagt stor vikt vid sina nya budgetdatorer både för den mobila och stationära marknaden. Vi har fått information direkt från MSI att man kommer satsa mer på bland annat så kallade Nettops under 2009, vilket betyder fler små och billiga surfdatorer. Till skillnad mot netbooks är nettops inte lika kinkiga med strömförbrukningen, de är ju trots allt kopplade till vägguttaget. Så när nu MSI lanserat sin senaste Nettop är det en dubbelkärnig Intel Atom processor som står för arbetskraften. Något som borde ge bättre prestanda och samtidigt håller den totala strömförbrukningen på löjligt låga 35W.

MSI launches the first Dual-Core Atom System, MSI Wind Nettop D130. This NetTop is equipped with the latest Intel® Atom 330 dual-core processor and 2GB DDR2 memory. The processor and the chipset of MSI Wind Nettop D130 are passively cooled, generating only 30dB of operating noise.
