There are probably quite a few of you who are curious to know more about MSI’s new notebook family X-Slim. MSI has done like Apple and focused completely on design and shape, and just like Apple MacBook Air, things have gone slim and thin. We have already shared a couple of reports on the coming X-Slim series, which now includes three models; two 13.4″ models and one larger 15.6″ model, even though it hasn’t been launched yet.

MSI is showing its new models at Cebit and over at Engadget they have shared their first impressions after getting to spend some time with them. Even if the shiny exterior may attract an unhealthy amount of finger prints, MSI seems to have succeeded with its thin design.

These are definitely amongst the sexiest laptops we’ve seen in some time, though it only took a moment for fingerprints to begin marring the previously flawless glossy top. Both were appropriately sturdy and remarkably lightweight, and if these are any sign of where MSI is going with its styling, we can’t wait for the future.

We hope to learn more about these thin creations from MSI and we should see these notebooks on the shelves in a not too distant future.

More pictures of X-Slim can be found at Engadget.
