Multi-core R700 rumor resurfaces

0

Over six months ago, when R600 was still not launched, Fuad claimed that the replacement for the R600 would have a multi-core design. Instead of the normal approach with more punch in a single core, ATI has supposedly chosen to follow the trend on the CPU market with more parallel power. According to Fudzilla, R700 will have four cores working together and really make good use of the CrossFire X technology. Even though multi-core seems like the natural evolution, even for graphics cards, we should lay low and wait for confirmation from other sources as well.
