Mushkin has released new memory modules for the DDR2 market, called Redline XP2-8000. The new modules are specified to run at 1000MHz and at the relatively low latencies 4-5-4-11 at 2.2v. Mushkin’s new memorues will be available as both 512MB and 1GB capaccities, but has chosen not to implement the new Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) concept where we last saw OCZ launch its first EPP capable memory modules. Mushkin can still boast its memories thanks to the aggressive timings at such a high frequency as 1GHz. What the price of Mushkin’s new Redline XP2-8000 will be is yet to be revealed.
