Mushkin is one of the leading companies when it comes to memories for enthusiasts and overclockers. We’ve seen a couple of modules with 2GB capacity being launched by different manufacturers, but these have been working at 800MHz and with 5-5-5-15 timings at best. Mushkin has now, more or less, left them all far behind with its new XP2-8500 memories. These are working at 1066MHz with 5-4-4-12 timings and according to tests made by users at XtremeSystems there is potential for more. The memories have been pushed to 1160MHz at CAS5 and with tighter timings they have proven to be capable of high frequencies as well. The price for a kit of 2x2GB is $545.
