Dell just launched a new 22″ LCD monitor called Dell SP2208WFP. This widescreen monitor comes with a 1680×1050 px resolution and is shipped with a 2 megapixel web camera and microphone integrated into the frame. The panel has a response time of only 2 ms (GTG), a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and a 92% NTSC color reproduction. Dell hasn’t held back on to the connectivity either, the monitor namely offers D-SUB, DVI-D (HDCP), 3 HDMI and 4 USB ports. The price will be around 500 USD.

Dell has also announced a new 24″ LCD monitor which is expected to be launched in Japan on October 23 and Dell has been able to improve the 72 % color reproduction of today’s model to 92% with the new Dell E248WFP. The remaining specifications are identical to the current 24″ monitor from Dell; 1920×1200 pixels, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 16.7 million colors. The price of the new 24″ model will be about 580 USD, but so far there is no information on the availability in the USA, even less on when it will reach Europe.
