New GeForce 8 series GX2 in the works, dual-PCB card?

0

It’s been clear for some time that NVIDIA is working on a dual-GPU card of its own to counter ATI’s coming Radeon HD 3870X2. The card will use two G92 chips, and according to Fudzilla (beware the source), the card will be similar to the last dual-GPU card from NVIDIA to hit the market, the GeForce 7950GX2. This means two PCBs slapped together, instead of just one, which the the 3870X2 will have. This means no exotic cooling on the 8800GX2, or whatever it will be called. At best we can hope for tailored water blocks.
