Mac mini just got a so called silent upgrade where Apple has upgraded the components without telling the customers . Among others it has upgraded the G4-processors in its low end versions from 1.25GHz to 1.33GHz. Also the high end version gets a faster processor, from 1.42GHz to 1.5GHz. It will still have the same graphic circuit as before but this time with more memory, Radeon 9200 64MB. The harddrives have been upgraded from 4200 RPM-models to a little faster 5400 RPM and the ones with SuperDrive has gotten a slightly faster unit with 8x speed. Also the Bluetooth module has been updated with the new version of Mac mini.
Apple hasn’t made any statements about the updates so far but we expect a statement very soon. Apparently the new systems are already being shipped but with the older speciifcations listed. The price will remain the sameas for today’s Mac mini-models.
