New version of DirectX before Vista

Microsoft will release a new version of DirectX before Vista! Microsoft announced the new version furing Game Developers Conferance in London last week. ATi’s R600 and nVidia’s next generation graphic cards will be able to use Shader Model 4.0 when Vista is released. A smart move from Microsoft as not only the transistion from XP to Vista will go smoother but users will also be able to make use of all their new graphic card’s potential before Vista arrives.
