During the weekend the NH Folding@Home team reached a milestone when it broke into the top 200 folding teams. With over 19.3 million points today the team currently resides at place 195, and climbing. It took almost exactly seven months to accomplish this and with the current production rate there is no looking back, just up the list to see who’s next to be overrun.
To reach into the top 100 the team needs to gather another 34 million points, which is a lot, but far from impossible. We should instead focus on getting into the top 175 at the moment as this will only require another 4 million points or so. Either way, the only way is up, up, up, and up some more. Especially as the team production rate has been climbing steadily.
If you’re thinking this is taking too long, why not recruit a friend or even foe to the project? Everyone has something to gain from helping out Stanford University’s Folding@Home project. All of you who have contributed so far should really take a moment feel at least a little bit proud at the moment, but maybe not too proud. There is still a long way to go. Fold on!
