Nintendo Revolution is the third piece of the puzzle in next generation of gaming consoles but so far Nintendo hasn’t made an official presentation of its console at E3. But now it has appeared both information and a picture of what is suppose to be Nintendo’s next gaming console. As we mentioned earlier the console will be very slim and from what it seems it doesn’t even bother to try and compete with Sony and Microsoft performancewise. Revolution will use the DVD-format and support both DVD-movies and GameCube’s mini-DVD for full backwardscompability. To score points with people hating cords Nintendo will, just as Sony and MS, rely on wireless controllers. It will however, as it did not with GameCube, work on a onlinebased functions. Both for online gaming and downloading classical titles etc. Nintendo has in no way aimed for the most powerful console on the market with Revolution. But the question is whether it risks being left a little to far behind. Microsoft says Xbox 360 is 10 to 13 times more powerful than Xbox, Sony says that PS3 is up to 35 times more powerful than PS2 while Nintendo claims that Revolution is “only” 2-3 times as powerful as GameCube. We hope that Nintendo has a few aces up its sleeve. Source: USAToday
