Nintendo Revolution is more or less a big questionmark compared to its competitors, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. None of the consoles are available yet, but both Microsoft and Sony has released tons of information on the specifications and features their consoles has. Nintendo has been very quiet and the rumours have been many and in some cases very extreme, not to say insane. Nintendo Revolution’s controller has been the most renowned part of Nintendo’s next game console and now that it has presented it at Tokyo Game Show we can surely understand why. Ninendo Revoltion has with a doubt a revolution going on as the controller it has launched looks like nothing we have ever seen before. It consists out of two parts and you don’t even need both of them at all times. “The controller for Nintendo’s upcoming Revolution home console system is a cordless remote-control-like device designed to be used with only one hand. Two small sensors placed near the TV and a chip inside the controller track its position and orientation, allowing the player to manipulate the action on screen by physically moving the controller itself. For example, you could slash an in-game sword by actually swinging the controller from side to side, turn a race car just by twisting your wrist, or aim your gun in a shooter by pointing the controller where you want to fire.” At 1up.com they’ve both seen and tested the new controller in a various setup of demos that was suppsoe to show of the capabilities of the new controller. The last, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, was the only demo to require both parts. You get a feeling of confusion when you look at Nintendo Revolution’s controller but considering this early stage of development and the first impressions there is potential, no doubt about it, with Nintendo’s concept. We highly recommend reading more about the new controller’s features and area of uses in the articles below. Articles on Nintendo Revoltion’s controller:
