Nokia has now announced two new mobile phones for people who want to use their phones for listening to music. None of the phones are part of the Nokia N series though. Nokia 5070 is the smaller of the two and has a more Spartan design and list of functions. The most fundamental messaging functions are there together with an FM radio. The phone has a speech time at 3.5h and a standby time at 300h. The price will be €100 (+taxes and fees) when it arrives during the second quarter. Along with Nokia 5070, Nokia has also launched Nokia 5700 XpressMusic. This is a more complete phone that has been given a rather unique design.

Nokia 5700 XpressMusic has been equipped with a twistable keypad that also works as a mode selector. By twisting the pad you can change main function of the phone; music player, 2 Megapixel camera, video calls or 3G smartphone.
The media player supports WMA, MP3, AAC, eAAC+ and MP4, and copyrighted material through Windows Media Player Digital Rights management. The phone has a 2,2″ QVGA (320×240) 16-bit display, which should be enough to play videos quite well.
