The Finnish mobile giant Nokia has together with ATI announced that the two will cooperate to develop multimedia features for Nokia’s mobile phones. ATI and Nokia will work together to improve music and video playback, but also 3D games and mobile TV are on the agenda. According to Nokia the announcement was made now so that developers would have enough time, one and a half year, to develop services for the platform. Which should indicate that it is counting on launching its first units somewhere about then. We’ll most likely see more and more focus with 3D graphics and multimedia services with mobile phones now that portale market is almost side to side with the stationary. Also NVIDIA has shown great interest in the mobile phone industry. Source: BetaNews
