G70 is the circuit nVidia has based its 7800 GTX-cards on and many has believed that it is working on an Ultra-version of 7800. To be able to counter ATi’s launch of R520. Now it seems nVidia has decided to cancel the development of “7800 Ultra”, according to The Inquirer this is so that the sales of the 7800 GTX will be hurt while ti thinks that ATi won’t be able to deliver especially many R520-circuits to begin with. It simply doesn’t want to disrupt its series to counter a product very few will have access to. This is of course not official so we will have to wait and see how nVidia will react upon ATi’s launch of R520, but it seems to have great faith in 7800 GTX. Source: The Inquirer
