That the PC industry is getting smaller and smaller with companies shutting down all the time and over the years we have seen numerous projects making use of retired hardware. One of the more popular uses have been key chains and graphics circuit manufacturer NVIDIA has decided to something quite similar to pad the budget. At NVIDIA’s online store you can buy everything from graphics cards to bags and clothes with the company logo, but it has now added key chains made from G98 GPUs.
Just like all other technology companies, NVIDIA has a surplus of chips that doesn’t meet the requirements to be used in the end product and by fitting leftover G98 circuits inside lucite they can reduce the loss by selling of “broken” chips as some kind of memorabilia.

The price of a dead G98 GPU in your pocket is $10 and even if that may feel a bit expensive for a key chain it is a lot cheaper than buying G98-based graphics card and making one yourself.
